On behalf of the Horn of Africa Medical Equipment, Mobility Aid & Diplomacy Foundation, we sincerely thank everyone who provided a letter of endorsement and support for our application for charity tax concessions and Deductible Gift Recipient (DGR) status.
We are pleased to confirm that the Foundation’s application has now been finalised. Effective from 20 November 2025, the Foundation has received endorsement for income tax exemption, GST concessions, FBT exemption and Deductible Gift Recipient (DGR) status.
This important achievement was made possible through the confidence, encouragement and support of our valued community partners, Rotary leaders, government representatives, health-sector colleagues, charitable organisations and friends — including the Rotary Club of Footscray, the Rotary Club of Footscray Aged & Community Service Fund, Rotary Club of Wyndham, Rotary Club of Eaglehawk, Delphi Business Group, Australia Light Foundation, Western Health, Donations in Kind, Rotary District 9800, Disaster Aid Australia, Bevmarks Group, the Australian Embassy in Addis Ababa, and the Embassy of the Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia in Canberra.
Our charity and DGR endorsements build public trust, allow us to receive tax-deductible donations, and expand the reach of our humanitarian projects. Above all, they help us deliver practical assistance to the people and communities who need it most.
